Project Eyecare

At Shopko, we're helping kids to read, swing a bat at a baseball, and explore all there is to see with Project Eyecare. In partnership with the Salvation Army, Shopko doctors of optometry are helping hundreds of children in need by providing complimentary eye exams and eyewear each year. With Project Eyecare, kids are seeing the world in a whole new way.

In October of 2003, a young boy named Kelly was helped by the Shopko's Project Eyecare. Kelly was excited to have new glasses and wanted to let everyone know. A thank you card and a picture of Kelly wearing his new glasses were sent to the Salvation Army. It read:

"Thank you for the certificate for my glasses. I really like the frames I got. I will try to make my glasses last longer than the rest of my glasses. From Kelly."
